Overview |
Santata is a northern giant native to the Outskirts, and is the leader of gnomes who work at his Gift Factory. He is the main antagonist of Intervallo III: Miracle in District 20.
Appearance[]
Santata is a massive creature, one said to be a giant. Despite the difference in species, he is humanoid, sporting pink skin and a long beard with sharp teeth beneath. His face is shaded, yet his eyes glow a piercing yellow. He has pointed ears, and dons a traditional Santa cap, as well as a cloak of white fur that reaches down to his feet. His chest and forearms are decorated in alternating red and green Christmas lights, and he wears a pair of red pants that have white cuffs above his dark shoes. He is also seen carrying a sack over his left shoulder, one similarly decorated in the same Christmas lights as his body.
Befitting of his race of a giant, he is shown to be several times larger than any of the Sinners, as highlighted during the closing cinematic of Episode 10 of Intervallo III.
Personality[]
Despite his intimidating stature, Santata first appears relatively jolly, declaring his intent to deliver the gifts produced in his factory to naughty or nice children alike. However, he appears to be bitter due to his kind's inability to participate in the life of the City, acting as some sort of spreader of joy to those that have been ostracized from human life.
Story[]
Santata is absent from a majority of Intervallo III, though arrives following the Sinner's collective rendezvous within his Gift Factory's assembly line. At that point, he states his intent to spread his gifts created in the factory to those cast out of the City and forced to live in the Outskirts, criticizing the methods of those within the City's walls. Following a short-lived attempt by Outis to negotiate with Santata, he declares to the Sinners an offer for them to join him in the form of gifts, beginning a battle between him and the Sinners. Following this fight, Santata is killed, causing his guts to expand and release a nauseating gas, something that Domino mentions being common among his species.
Trivia[]
- Santata uses the phrase "infinite hatred" moments before his battle. This phrase is a reference to the Lobotomy Corporation Abnormality Rudolta.
