Refraction Railway is a secondary game mode in Limbus Company in which the player must clear a series of high difficulty combat challenges in return for rare and limited rewards.
Each Season introduces a new Line and features a mixture of new enemies as well as ones first encountered during the story of that Season's respective Canto.
Overview[]
Manager will bring the current Team setup picked for the 12 sinner to enter the Railway which cannot be changed or altered of the level much like Story Dungeon. Unlike Story Dungeon, there will no (healing) event, nor will any E.G.O Gift be available. You will not be able to change the team once they are set up, but any E.G.O resources from clearing each stop will be retained for the next battle. Sinners who does not participate will be fully healed after winning the stage, whereas dead sinners stays dead for the railway duration.
If the stage is lost, the line will revert back to the last won stage with the previously retained E.G.O sin resources and the Sinner's state, allowing you to retry again. If there is a need to return back to the last lane, its possible to do so, albeit reverting to the last known state of all the sinner and E.G.O resources.
Each type of line provides with different varying length of mechanics and gimmicks, requiring the manager to think of a strategy suitable for the sinners to stay alive and clear the entire line in the least number of turns used.
Every stage pits you against a fixed difficult wave of enemies and abnormalities, which changes or depends on every new Line. All stages utilizes Sin resistance, even if the enemy is a human, and fights under method similar to Abnormalities (no additional action per turn on either side, and enemies have body parts that are targeted as well).
Reward[]
Clearing stages for the first time leaves behind rewards under the "Lost and Found" section, which can be accessed using Enkephalin Modules for the first time. Consecutive rewards can be claimed for free from that Line until they are closed off.
Furthermore, the game mode takes into account for how many turns it took to clear a stage, and are tallied across all the stages within that line. At the end of the last stage, expedition record will highlight the following from your own records:
- Expedition date
- Sinner, identities and E.G.O brought to the railway expedition
- Total Clear Turns taken in all stages
- Damage statistics on each stage
The logs are ranked based on the lowest number of turns taken to clear the expedition. Any Clear turns above 999 will not be accounted for.
Players who completed the content during the first half of the period are able to earn a special decorative banner, depending on their performance. Specific requirement are based on what kind of Line they participated.
At the end of the Operation Period, The player's best turn record is etched onto the banners.

The first six sinners selected will start the battle, and when a sinner dies in battle, you get sin resources equal to their skill slots and type and the next sinner in deployment order replaces them.
