Overview |
For the non-Distorted character, see Eunbong’s Bar & Fryers Owner.
Papa Bongy is a Distortion encountered in Intervallo I as its main antagonist. He was formed from the Eunbong's Bar & Fryers Owner's negative emotion from the loss of his recipe and subsequently went on a rampage in Nest K, commanding an army of Headchickens.
After appeasing him with a suitable dish, the Sinners were able to enter the fathoms of his mind, where they caused him to undistort and return to normal.
He is fought in 3.5-5 and 3.5-9. A harder variant called Spiced-up Papa Bongy is also fought in 3.5-10.
Appearance[]
Papa Bongy has the build and attire as his non-Distorted form though his skin appears darker and his veins are more pronounced. Both his clothes and body are stained with blood.
His head has been replaced by that of a chicken, complete with wattles, a beak lined with sharp teeth, and a comb in the shape of a chef's hat. A pair of of bloody knives have been stabbed into the sides of his head, though this does not seem to affect him.
Papa Bongy's forearms are split into two halves, leading to the formation of mouths with sharp teeth and long tongues. He holds a ladle in his right hand, and a carving fork in his left which act as his main weapons. A long tail of white feathers can be seen protruding from his behind.
Papa Bongy also appears to be carrying a bucket filled with raw chicken on his back. During combat, he flings Headchickens from the bucket at his targets.

Story[]
Log Writer: Outis
The entity was first encountered around 1720 hours today. According to Faust's report, it is believed to be a 'Distortion', distinct from the Abnormalities we have faced.
As such, I intended to avoid engaging with it and observe the development of the situation, but its continued hostile behavior forced our unit to battle it.
In the encounter, I was able to see that the entity acted as a commander of a kind.
It ordered its chickens...or things resembling the animals to charge at us in succession.
It is assumed that the basket on its back is where they appear from.
In logistics, a crucial plan to victory involves blocking the enemy's supply routes.
I would like to suggest taking this into your consideration for commanding future battles.
Thank you for reading.
→ That's one faithful lieutenant… (Gregor)
→ The document seems efficient enough. Faust is satisfied. (Faust)
The advice I offered earlier worked as predicted. My sincere thanks to you for adopting my suggestion after due consideration.
With the basket damaged, it lost its ability to replenish its chicken-like minions, cutting off further reinforcements.
While it may be obvious (This is of course not directed at your sensibilities, Executive Manager), its combat prowess was considerably lowered with its minions gone.
Though removing the enemy leader directly using asymmetric forces is considered an efficient strategy in most situations, I believe this is one of the cases where concentrated attacks and gradual breakdown of the enemy's defenses will prove wise.
I hereby conclude the report.
Thank you for reading.
→ You think Clockface can make heads or tails out of your military jumble? (Heathcliff)
→ I have already given an oral explanation to the Executive Manager. Also, do not use such degradatory titles to refer to them. (Outis)
