The Mirror of the Wuthering is the Mirror Dungeon of Season 4. The Simulation (Normal) difficulty is unlocked by clearing Main Story Canto II, and the Ritornello (Hard) difficulty in unlocked by clearing Main Story Canto V. However, the pool of enemies faced changes as one progresses further through the Main Story.

Compared to the previous Mirror Dungeon, the Mirror of the Lake, the Mirror of the Wuthering adds a system of 'Floor Theme Packs' which determines the types of enemies one faces, and E.G.O Gifts one may choose from on each floor. Additionally, MD4 introduces 92 new E.G.O Gifts (some returnees from various Story Dungeons), and adds additional choices to several Abnormality Events.

Simulation[]

Simulation (Normal) Mode of this Mirror Dungeon are identical to the previous Mirror Dungeon, where the first three reward claims after a dungeon runs in a week (regardless of completion level) will reward the player with extra resources, namely:

Once the Weekly Rewards bonus has been used up, the player will only receive 30 Limbus Pass XP and 100 Manager EXP for any subsequent Mirror Dungeon runs.

Ritornello[]

The rewards given for the Ritornello (Hard) difficulty of MD4H depends on the number of Weekly Bonus charges consumed upon claiming the reward, with the amount of Limbus Pass XP increasing for players who do multiple runs to consume each charge separately. The number of Weekly Bonus charges the player consumes from a Ritornello difficulty completion can be freely adjusted by the player.

Mounting Trials[]

Similar to the Mirror of the Lake, a Buff to future enemies may be chosen after each Floor Boss fight along with the E.G.O Gifts. Refusing the Gift will prompt the game to choose randomly from the offered Mounting Trials instead.

The Simulation and Ritornello difficulties feature completely different pools of Mounting Trials. Additionally, a Level Boost to the enemies (ranging from +1 to +4 Levels) are listed alongside the Mounting Trials in both difficulties. The enemies that can be encountered in this Dungeon depends on the Floor Theme Pack chosen for the floor the player is currently on. The Floor Theme Packs available in turn is determined by the player's progress in the Main Story.

There are 4 floors in Simulation difficulty and 5 floors in Ritornello difficulty. However, the number of nodes each floor has may fluctuate depending on the Floor Theme Packs one has chosen.

Abnormality Encounters[]

Abnormality Encounters added by this Mirror Dungeon are mainly returnees from various Intervallo Story Dungeons. However, Abnormality Encounters of previously-fought Abnormalities (both in Main Story Encounters and Refraction Railways) are also modified to include an additional choice, allowing these Abnormalities to be battled for both of their E.G.O Gifts.
