Overview[]
The Mirror Dungeon is a secondary game mode in which the player traverses a randomly generated dungeon with only a limited group of Sinners at their disposal to reach the end and claim its rewards. There are several Mirror Dungeons available, with more released as time goes on. Each has different E.G.O Gifts, lengths, and number of floors available within them.
Entry to Mirror Dungeons is free. However, redeeming their rewards requires spending Enkephalin Modules. The base version of a Mirror Dungeon requires 5 Enkephalin Modules to claim rewards, while the hard version requires 18.
Sin Resources persist in the Dungeon between Encounters, allowing the player to save up resources that can then be spent on later battles.
The player can obtain Cost in Mirror Dungeons. These can be exchanged for Identity replacement, Sinner healing, E.G.O Gifts, and more whenever they land at Shop marks.
List of Mirror Dungeons[]
Every Season, starting from Season 3, the previous Mirror Dungeon is replaced with a new Mirror Dungeon based on the current Season and its respective Canto. Any Starlight and progression with Starter Buffs are reset, requiring them to be reobtained with the new Mirror Dungeon.

Mechanics[]
Mirror Dungeons functions differently compared to most other stages.
- Upon beginning a Mirror Dungeon run, the manager must choose 5 Sinners (alongside an Identity and any available E.G.O that the manager owns for each Risk Level) to start out with. This cannot be changed once the decision has been made, but they can be replaced or added at Shop encounters.
- The actual Uptie level for Identities and Threadspin for E.G.Os are used. Moreover, all Identity levels are fixed based on the dungeon max level (Unless the difficulty is higher than Normal)
- In Normal Mode, all Identities and E.G.Os are free of charge. At difficulties past Normal, managers are given a fixed amount of Cost to assemble a team. Currently, only 000 Identities require Cost at starting a run.
Then, the player will need to choose from a series of nodes from a map. It is not possible to backtrack, unlike Story Mode dungeons. These are the current known nodes:
Encounters[]
Mirror Dungeon enemy encounters are randomly chosen from the various enemy groups from the Story Mode, including bosses.
All combat encounter will have an attack type weakness below them. For Abnormality Encounters/Focused Encounters, Sin type weakness will be next to it. If the Boss encounter is an abnormality, both the attack type and sin type weakness will be displayed.
During certain events like Yield My Flesh to Claim Their Bones, some of the encounters are replaced with their own event encounters. The last floor will always have another path leading to the event boss.
As of April 25, 2024, the flavor text on all of the encounters no longer exists, only replaced with a single giant text. Additionally, with the release of the Mirror of the Wuthering, the name of all Battle encounters are replaced by the name of the Floor Theme Pack chosen for the current Floor.
| Icon | Type | Identity Encounter |
|---|---|---|
| Single Sword | Normal Encounter | Random Humanoid group of 2-7 |
| Heptagonal Coin Icon | Risky Encounter | Random Humanoid/Abnormality group of 2-7, usually at a higher difficulty |
| Triangle Icon with Dual Swords | Focused Encounter | Random Abnormality group of 2-7 |
| Exclamation Mark | Boss Encounter | Humanoid/Abnormality Boss Encounter. Each Floor Theme Pack has its own pool of potential bosses. |
| Question Mark | Random Encounter | Random Abnormality Event (See Below) |
| Dispenser Mark | Thick Rumbling Hum——Shop. Coins can be exchanged here for items. | See #Shop Functions |
| Chair Mark | Dense Quietness——Rest Zone. Also functions as a semi-shop. | See #Rest Stop Functions |
Shop Nodes will appear at the first node of every even numbered floor (i.e: Floor 2, Floor 4) and the last floor. Another will appear before the final boss node of the last floor. Rest Stop Nodes will appear at the last node of Floors 1, 4, and 5, and at the first node of Floor 3.
Removed Encounters[]
These encounters no longer exists as of 29th June 2023 update as they became obsolete with changes to the Mirror Dungeon.
| Icon | Name | Type | Identity Encounter |
|---|---|---|---|
| Question mark icon with Heart and a plus at a corner | Health Encounter | HP Recovery | Vending Machine and Oceanic Waves |
| Question mark icon with a plus next to an entity at a corner | New Recruit Encounter | Recruiting Sinner | Mirror Room |
| Question mark icon with an up arrow next to an entity at a corner | Rank up Encounter | Rank up a Sinner's level by 5. How many depends on the current level of Dungeon | Reinforced Ampoule Exchange |
Cost[]
Each enemy encounter the player successfully defeats allows the manager to earn some Cost. Normal encounters give 40 Cost on clearance, Focused Encounters give 60, and Risky Encounters give 80. Floor Boss Encounters give a variable amount of Cost upon clearance, ranging from 100 on Floor 1 to 150 on Floor 3. Certain Abnormality Encounters also may give Cost as a result of certain choices.
Cost is also gained upon initial entry of the Mirror Dungeon; the exact amount of starting Cost depends on the team the manager assembled, with each 3-Star Identity in the team giving 25 starting Cost, and each 2-Star or 1-Star Identity giving 50. The 'Worthy Prize' Starter Buff and its secondary buffs also gives 50 starting Cost each, and the 'Triumphant Return' one-time Starter Buff gives 250 starting Cost.
Cost can be used for Sinner skill replacement, healing, purchasing or boosting E.G.O Gifts, or Team adjustment at either the Shops or Rest Stops
Shop Functions[]
| Name | Type | Cost | Additional Details |
|---|---|---|---|
| Heal Sinner | Heals either all Sinners or one Sinner | 100 | The manager can either choose to heal one Sinner by 50% HP and 45 SP, or to heal all Sinners by 15% HP and 15 SP. |
| Team | Adds a new Identity/E.G.O to the team | 200 | Allows the manager to adjust the Identity and/or E.G.O of up to three Sinners. 200 Cost will be spent regardless of the number and nature of replacements, however. |
| Skill Replacement | Replaces the active selected Sinner Identity (picked at random) skill coin with a more powerful variant. | 75 (replace Skill 1 with Skill 2) 125 (Replace Skill 2 with Skill 3) 200 (Replace Skill 1 with Skill 3) |
An attack Skill will be replaced once purchased, meaning you are more likely to encounter said skill during battle for the duration of the dungeon. The Skill that got replaced will appear less frequently, however. |
| E.G.O Gifts | Adds an E.G.O Gift to the arsenal | Dependent (140 - 600) | Does not show already obtained or stage-exclusive E.G.O Gift inside. Displays 3 Gift per Dispense visit; increases with 'Faint Evenfall' and 'Nightless City' Starter Buffs. |
| Refresh | Refresh the pool of E.G.O Gifts being sold, and the Sinner available for Skill Replacement. | 25 Cost; +25 for each refresh 10 Starlight |
Refresh Cost is reduced to 20/+20, then to 16/+16 with each secondary Buff of the 'Faint Evenfall' Starter Buff. |
| Keyword Refresh | Identical to Refresh, except that the player may choose a Keyword that the Refresh will more likely produce. | 150 Cost; +25 for each refresh (linked with normal Refresh) | Refresh Cost is reduced to 120/+25, then to 90/+25 with each secondary Buff of the 'Faint Evenfall' Starter Buff. |
| Sell E.G.O Gifts | Sell unwanted E.G.O Gifts for Cost | Dependent (+70 - 300) | E.G.O Gift sale price is 50% that of its purchase price; sale price is increased by 20% by secondary Buffs of the 'Nightless City' Starter Buff. |
Rest Stop Functions[]
| Name | Type | Cost | Additional Details |
|---|---|---|---|
| Heal Sinner | Heals either all Sinners or one Sinner | 100 | Identical to same function in Shops. |
| Team | Adds a new Identity/E.G.O to the team | 200 | Identical to same function in Shops. |
| Enhance Gifts | Enhances effects of certain E.G.O Gifts. | Depends upon Gift Tier and Enhance Tier (80 - 320) | Not all E.G.O Gifts can be enhanced. For a list of enhanceable E.G.O Gifts and their effects, see List of E.G.O Gifts/Enhance. For exact Cost of enhancing, see table below. |
| Fuse Gifts | Fusing multiple E.G.O Gifts to produce a new E.G.O Gift. | Free (save for the fused Gifts) | Fusing multiple E.G.O Gifts of a low tier may produce a Gift of a higher tier. |
Gift Enhance Costs[]
| Tier | Cost (Upgrade Level 1) | Cost (Upgrade Level 2) |
|---|---|---|
| I | 80 | 160 |
| II | 100 | 200 |
| III | 125 | 250 |
| IV | 160 | 320 |
| Note: The 'Sheepback Clouds', 'Katabatic Wind', and 'Path of the West Wind' Starter Buffs reduces the Enhance Costs universally by 20%; their secondary buffs provide for an additional 20% cost reduction to E.G.O Gifts of certain categories. | ||
Gift Fusion Details[]
Note: Only gifts of Tier III or lower may be fused.
The player must choose a Keyword Category they would like to obtain from the Fusion before the Fusion commences. Fusing more E.G.O Gifts produces a higher chance of producing Gifts of the desired Keyword: 2-Gift Fusions have a 60% chance of producing the Keyword chosen, while 3-Gift Fusions have a 90% chance of doing so.

E.G.O. Gifts[]
There are a total of 161 E.G.O. Gifts that you may encounter during an initial Mirror of the Wuthering run, and a further 31 E.G.O Gifts are unlockable through Starter Buffs. In all difficulties, you will choose 1 Tier 2 E.G.O Gift from one of 11 Categories (7 for the Sin Affinities, 3 for the Physical Attributes, and 1 completely Random; all except the Random category has to unlocked through Starter Buffs). The E.G.O Gifts offered in all categories except 'Random' are fixed (see #Starting E.G.O Gift Choice)
Battle Encounters has a certain chance of letting you pick another upon beating them: 5% for Normal Encounters, 70% for Abnormality/Focused Encounters, 35% for Risky Encounters, and guaranteed for Boss Encounters. Boss Encounters offers you to pick 1 Gift out of 3 while the rest only offers 1 choice of Gift. Having the Gift 'Tomorrow's Fortune' increase the choices available by 1 in both cases. In addition, you can also reject any E.G.O Gifts offered if they do not suit your current run.
Abnormality Encounters may also give you their relevant E.G.O Gift depending on the chosen decision. Gifts earned in this manner cannot be rejected. You will not encounter these events if you already own their E.G.O Gift.

Starting E.G.O Gift Choice[]
Abnormality Encounters[]
In Abnormality Encounters, a random Abnormality whose E.G.O. Gifts you have not obtained from the Shop or via other means will appear. Abnormalities that appear in previous dungeons may appear in newer dungeons. Some answers can lead to a Focused Encounter. In addition to the rewards shown before the fight (only E.G.O. Gifts at the moment), you also win 60 Cost like a normal Focused Encounter (Cost increasing E.G.O. Gift and Starter Buff are also applied).
For an idea on what answers leads to what results, check their respective information page or their originated Mirror Dungeon page.
Starlight[]
Starlight is an unique reward only obtainable in dungeons past Mirror of the Beginning. These are reset for every new Mirror Dungeon that is released, and are used to provide Starter Buffs, enhancing various aspects of the Mirror Dungeon.
Starlight earned from a Mirror Dungeon run depends on several factors: the number of Floors / Nodes / Encounters cleared, the number of E.G.O Gifts owned at the end of the run, the Starting E.G.O Gift choice, the Rest Bonus, and Floor Theme choices. See table:
| Starlight | ||
|---|---|---|
| Factor | Quantity | Notes |
| Cleared Floors | Max 40 Starlight (5 Floors) | These Starlight are boosted by x5 for Impossible clearance |
| Cleared Nodes | 0.5 Starlight/Node (rounded down) | |
| Encounters | 1 Starlight/Encounter | |
| Aquired E.G.O Gifts | 1 Starlight/E.G.O Gift (counted at run end) | |
| Starting E.G.O Gift Choice | 12 Starlight for choosing from a Category not chosen in the last run | |
| Rest Bonus | 1 Starlight for every Rest Bonus Charge for Identities used in this run (Rest Bonus regenerates by 1 for every Mirror Dungeon run an Identity did not participate in) | |
| Floor Theme | 3 Starlight for choosing a Floor Theme not chosen in the last run | |
| Encounter Reward Cards | Clearing Encounters occasionally gives a choice of Reward Cards; Reward Cards give approx. 1~10 Starlight depending on level | |
| Starlight Cost | -10 Starlight for every Shop Refresh using Starlight | |
Rewards[]

Tips:[]
- It is highly recommended to achieve Uptie 3+ for any Identities you plan on using. Not only can you utilize their Sin-Resonated passives, be it combat or standby, a fully uptied Identity has access to higher stats and skills only available for 00 and 000 Identities.
- A team consisting of the default Identities of Heathcliff, Ryōshū, and Hong Lu is a powerful basic team that can carry you through the first Mirror Dungeon quite easily. All three base Sinners have both high clashing and damage numbers, reliable E.G.O's and no clear drawbacks.
- It is recommended to do the dungeon mission during the start of a new day due to the cost of Enkephalin required to forge Enkephalin Modules required for redeeming the rewards after a run. Any Enkephalin used will slowly regenerate, even while a Mirror Dungeon or Story Dungeon is in progress.
- A common strategy as of now is to do daily missions that include missions (as the dungeon does not count as one), then turn all remaining entry into Modules, and run though the dungeon twice, and another using the modules gained from turning remaining energy into Modules.
- One Enkephalin box gives just enough for one Mirror Dungeon reward claim of the lowest difficulty.
- Be mindful of the ZAYIN E.G.O and Identity picked for each Sinner, especially if there is a section of Sin or damage type that are fatal to them, as those that were not initially picked will not be usable until you buy them from Shop during the run.
- Before tackling Hard Mode Mirror Dungeons, it is advised to cap out the level of Sinners and the Identities you intend to (or later on) bring over to the dungeon, alongside with capping out the Starter Buffs and all E.G.O and Identities Uptie/Threadspin to their max whereby possible due to the spiked difficulty of the battles.
