Overview

Into the Dark is the Story Dungeon for Canto V: The Evil Defining, and takes place within the Pallid Whale. Unlike previous Story Dungeons, this Story Dungeon has a linear layout: it does not contain any forks. It also contains a number of Dungeon Nodes that are reserved for Story Episodes.

In this dungeon, Ishmael is a required Sinner that has to be used for every fight. No Friend Support Identity for Ishmael can be used. However, Ishmael's brought Identity and E.G.Os will be boosted to Level 40 and Threadspin/Uptie level IV with the help of the E.G.O Gift "Noose", gained upon entering the Dungeon.

Similar to other Canto V battles, Ishmael starts all battles within the Story Dungeon with Compulsion, which lowers her initial SP to -25 but gives her 3 Attack Power Up when under 0 SP.
